EKIMONO

A display of Japanese scrolls made from The Advanced Japanese Woodcut class - a format which altered perceptions of viewing prints and storytelling. The students printed using traditional methods, including using Japanese marbling techniques or suminagashi on fabric for covers and learning how to join printing papers. Subjects ranged from: exercises in printing graduated colour- bokashi, to a personal document of life during Covid.
