SEASONS

“Seasons” stab-bound book made by students of the Advanced Japanese Woodcut class and their tutor Carol Wilhide Justin.

The book was inspired by the beautiful work of Japanese photographer Miho Kajioka in her book “So it goes, so it goes, so it goes”, allowing monochrome images to be seen intriguingly through translucent paper, overlapping in subtle nuanced ways. The book was bound in a Japanese stab binding with the book opening right to left in the traditional way.
