FOUND | LAND

Featuring painting, sculpture and printmaking by THE KENNINGTON COLLECTIVE, which comprises Cass Breen, Charly Helyar, Louise Hardy and Sarah Hills. The Kennington Collective met on their Masters Degree at City and Guilds Art School. In March 2024, they spent a month together at the Pouch Cove Residency during the bleakest of Newfoundland winters. The work made there reflected the physical isolation and extreme cold of the place but also the inherent psychological challenges they faced. For each artist, the experience was a seminal one, not only bringing them closer together but leading to seismic shifts in their practices, which continue to reverberate even more profoundly since their return.
