I work in 2D and 3D. This exhibition shows some of my photographs and oil paintings. I am making work about my professional life as a Building Surveyor.

 “Marking the day”

Often I have to point out defects and as a result have acquired the handle @ThePointyfinger on Instagram. I created several polystyrene pointing fingers and took them to beach to see how the public reacted to them in that setting. I discovered most Llandudno residents decided to keep their distance, but their dogs were more interested, as can be seen if you look carefully.

“Kraftworks”

The second set of images is a triptych also relating to my surveying work. The oil paintings arise from a “cataloguing” exercise. I have been looking back over photographic images collected during past building surveys. The pictures presented here capture the ground floor entrance hall of an Arts and Craft house in Hampstead with high ceilings and panelled walls. I have re-storied the scene.
