END OF YEAR SHOWS 2020

WATERLOO

The annual end of year shows for our key flagship courses are a feature of the Visual and Digital Arts at Morley College. This is a tremendous celebration of student work, lasting from mid-June until the end of July every year. 

Each show is a culmination of a year’s work for the students, and the standards are high. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, all are adults – some working towards progression to university, some developing their identity as artists and makers before setting up their own professional practice

There is great commitment and challenge in undertaking these courses – broadening ones horizons and achieving more that you thought possible. I am grateful to our students for all of their dedication.

Our talented tutors and managers are also practicing artists with industry and vocational experience – which they pass on to the students, along with creative and technical guidance. Students all benefit from professional standard studios and equipment and from working in small groups with access to regular tutorial support.

Textile Foundation, HNC and HND Ceramics, Access to Fashion, Access to Creative Digital Media, HNC and HND Fashion, L6 Fashion, Art Foundation are all featured in the programme. Every piece of work you will see has a history behind it – research, design, prototypes, writing, drawing, sketchbooks, mood boards, illustration, samples…..there is depth of content to be found. 

It is a privilege to work at Morley as Head of School for Visual Arts, and every year to see the students blossom and progress to new horizons and great success.
