SITE
The exhibition will take place in the Morley Gallery at the Waterloo Centre and applicants should visit the Gallery before making an application and consider the facilities and the space available. Suggestions are welcomed at application stage, final decisions on placement will lie solely with the exhibition curators.
MATERIALS
Artworks may be made of any safe material, which should be declared on the application form. Any materials which are potentially harmful or especially prone to damage should be clearly indicated in the application

Friday 19th May (10am-5pm) – Work to be delivered to Morley Gallery
22nd/23rd May –Installation by staff
24th May – Private View (6-8pm) - All exhibitors invited
16th June – (10am-5pm) Deinstallation and collection
RULES
You must be a current student at Morley Waterloo in this academic year 2022/23. Any work submitted for inclusion in the exhibition must be completed as part of your studies at Morley but could be made or started in the previous year.
Works should be produced as described in the application. Major deviations after acceptance should be discussed in advance and may result in disqualification if they impose too much cost or disruption for the exhibition.
Any required AV equipment, additional lighting or Gallery furniture equipment (such as tables or benches) must be requested at application as supplies are limited and must be allocated. Any additional technical support likewise must be booked in advance.
Works must be delivered complete and on time. Late delivery (without notice or reason) or incomplete works are likely to be removed from the Exhibition.
Works should be delivered in a presentable and display-ready format: Any paint or ink must be dry, and works on paper or canvas should be neatly framed, with D-rings placed horizontally an inch below the upper edge of the frame.
Work must be collected promptly at the agreed dates. The Gallery cannot be responsible for works left subsequent to that date.
Sold works will be dispatched to the purchasers by the Gallery team after the exhibition. Sellers will be notified about the payment process at installation, will have to submit an invoice, and should expect to wait up to six weeks to receive payment.
Exhbitors are expected to behave in a professional and collegiate manner at all times. Breech of the Gallery codes of conduct will result in removal from the exhibition.
SUBMISSIONS
Applicants are strongly recommended to consult with their tutor before making an application.
Submissions will be made via a form, downloadable below. You will be asked to submit the following:
· An initial sketch, design &/or up to three photographs of artwork. Images should be no more than 3mb in size. Fashion applications must also include standard sizing information for the finished garment(s). Please note that all images, along with application forms should be labelled with “Artists name - subject area - artwork title”.
· An artist’s statement of no more than 200 words describing the theme / idea
· A description of the materials you are proposing to use
· A brief description of fabrication and installation methods
· A price, if applicable (submitted prices are final). Prices should include a 30% Gallery commission.
· You may include an artist’s statement of no more than 100 words describing the theme / idea, though these may not be included in the final display at curatorial discretion.
Submissions open on 1st January 2023, and close on 24th April 2023. Any submissions made incomplete or after this date will not be valid.
Note that all work will remain in the ownership of the artist, though they may be sold In submitting the artwork the artist agrees that the artwork will remain in place until the end of the exhibition. All works must be collected promptly on 16th June.
