INVITATION TO SUBMIT PRINTS FOR EXHIBITION
Friends, students and colleagues of Frank Connelly are invited to submit up to 3 prints for selection for an exhibition at Morley. The exhibition will celebrate Frank’s life- his own work in printmaking and painting, his work with artists, the fantastic contribution he made to the printmaking departments at Morley College and City Lit and the lasting legacy of his work as a printmaking teacher, mentor and friend. Alongside the exhibition of Frank’s work, we plan to show prints by his friends, colleagues and students- anyone who had a connection with Frank is encouraged to submit work for selection. You will be asked to explain your connection to Frank and why you have entered each print- this information will be part of the selection criteria and will be included alongside the selected prints in the exhibition.

WORK BY FRANK/ABOUT FRANK
In addition, we are looking for prints by Frank that you may have in your personal collections, any prints or drawings that you made of Frank (we know there are quite a few!) and ephemera, photographs and anecdotes that you would be prepared to loan and share for the duration of the exhibition.
It is expected that more than one person will have a copy of the same print by Frank- we would like to see a photograph of the work in its frame if possible to make our selection.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

You can submit up to 3 images. Please include all information requested on the application form. Artworks uploaded without relevant information will not be considered.

SELECTED WORKS

All works should be framed, or may be hung unframed if appropriate to the work (ie: large wall piece/ sculptural/ book) and if approved by the gallery team.

Framed works should have D-rings attached to the upper corners of the frame, approx 6cm from the top of the canvas. If the work is likely to weight more than 15kg, please let us known in the initial submission.

Selected works can be delivered to the Morley Gallery on Friday 18th February (10am-5pm), or Monday 21st February (10am-12pm). If these are not possible, other dates may be possible by arrangement.
