'Japanese cherry blossom'

This is my sculpture project which main focus was cultural transcription, I chose Japanese culture to research and explore traditional Japanese art work. I took an interest into their traditions involving, pottery, traditional painting and metal work. I took an interest in the cherry blossom festival that is celebrated in Japan, my final piece is based on a cherry blossom tree using materials that contrast the meaning behind the festival. I used recycled bottle tops and broken china.
