Start a Collection: Works from the Estate of Zsuzsi Roboz (1929-2012)

Start a Collection: David Messum Fine Art, St. James’s, London

Wednesday 31st July - Friday 2nd August 2024

A unique opportunity to explore and acquire works from the Estate of Zsuzsi Roboz at reduced Start a Collection prices.

This year's Start a Collection offers a wonderful opportunity to acquire an artwork by Zsuzsi Roboz, to benefit the Alfred Teddy Smith and Zsuzsi Roboz Art Trust.

“Throughout her life, Zsuzsi had been sympathetic towards young artists and so the primary aim of the trust has always been to encourage emerging artists with bursaries, scholarships and other kinds of grants, as well as financing lectures and other artistic research. The sale will take place at our gallery in St. James’s, where there will be opportunities to buy from the collection of framed and unframed oils, studio sketches, pastels and works on paper, as well as small-scale sculpture.

Start a Collection was conceived by David Messum over 20 years ago to provide a platform from which first-time buyers could purchase with confidence. That defining moment proved to be a building block for many established collections and numerous new friendships. For that reason, Start a Collection remains an eagerly awaited event in our exhibition calendar for our clients.”
