MADE 2020 ONLINE SHOW
‘Made at Morley’ has for many years been an annual showcase for the exceptional standards of student work in the School of Visual & Digital Arts at Morley College. All the subject areas and skills are represented in turn – from Jewellery to Photography, Ceramics to Fashion, Textiles to Printmaking, Sculpture to Painting, Bookbinding to Glass.
The School of Visual & Digital Arts is a wonderful community, and I am honoured and proud to have been working here as Head of School for nearly six years now. ‘Made’ is one of the highlights of the year. It celebrates the tremendous achievements of our students, and the dedication of our team of tutors and managers. Every one of them is a known artist/craftsperson/maker in their field – and they bring this professionalism to their teaching. ‘Made’ is open to everyone, from beginners to advanced students who all submit applications. The work you see here on line is from the final selection. It is always a challenging task to choose some students’ work above others when the standards are so high across the board.
This year ‘Made’ is going on-line for the first time in our history – I am extremely grateful to all of our staff, the Morley Gallery and Marketing teams and most of all to our students for making this possible. Congratulations to everyone!
